 Verified  What’s not to like?
Had lunch at the Malthouse for the second time today after a very good experience here in the summer, and my wife and I were both impressed again. The staff are great. We were served by Jess today, who was friendly, efficient and the right amount of attentive. They are all a credit to the business. Food was spot on again too. They don’t have a huge menu, but we like that, as it shows they know what really matters. Quality. Good price point as well, and great beer! What’s not to like?

The location is amazing being part of the historic Hook Norton Brewery offering a very pleasant restaurant. Our waitress was Rebecca and she was amazing and very attentive and kind as were the other members of staff. We would highly recommend this restaurant as the service was excellent as was the quality of the food. Our family (8) enjoyed also enjoyed my Birthday breakfast very much.

Such a warm welcome and lovely friendly team. Phillip and Tina couldn't have been more accommodating and really went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. Oh, and the beer is also pretty good!

 Verified  spoilt by customers feeding dogs at their table
The Malthouse kitchen at the Brewery is clearly popular with both staff and visitors. Good service and nice "pub style" food. Given its country location I should have expected that dogs would be allowed inside -they were but what I really draw a line at is seeing people feeding their dogs at the table ( not on the floor). I dont know what advice was given to people bringing dogs in but surely the line should be drawn on this?

I took my miniture steam engine along, and met up with some like minded friends, this was my first time at the brewery and what a great time we had! The staff were fantastic, very helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. The atmosphere was fantastic at the brewery and the pear tree pub on Saturday evening. Thanks so much to everyone who made this weekend special! I did actually email the brewery separately to say thanks and sent some photos! 🤩👍🏻

 Verified  The best wedding venue ever!
Myself and my husband chose to get married here and it was absolutely fantastic! Nigel, Tina and the whole team were absolutely wonderful. They worked so hard to make everything run perfectly and they always made sure we were relaxed and happy throughout the whole process (which if you've ever planned a wedding you know that's soo important!) The food was insanely good, the mini Yorkshire puddings canapes, fish and chips, pie and mash, the sticky toffee pudding... all mind blowing! Our guests were so happy (and full)! Plus we brewed our own beer for our special day! It was so much fun and everyone loved having a beer that we made especially! We had the best most perfect wedding day and I can't thank the team enough for making our dreams come true!

Visiting dogs
We welcome all well-behaved four legged friends. We do ask that they are supervised at all times and kept on short leads. If they are joining you in the restaurant, please can they be kept on the floor and under your table. Water bowls are available outside only. If they do make a mess, we ask you to clear up after your dog. Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.
