So good we had to brew it again 40(2) years of The Rose & Crown
A great pub deserves great beer and Debbie, Andrew amd Adam Hall at The Rose & Crown, Oxford run such a pub. Two years ago, we brewed a beer to celebrate 40 years of them being licensees of the historic and traditional university watering hole on North Parade. It went down so well we’ve done the same to celebrate 42 years.
Just like the pub, if it’s not broke, why fix it, we’ve used the exact same recipe and pump clip for the beer.
4(2)0 Years Bitter is an English session ale slightly ruby in colour brewed using Fuggles, Challenger and UK Chinook hops.
Over the past 42 years the great and the good have stepped over the threshold to be met by the same unassuming, welcoming hospitality and long it may continue.
Andrew Hall commented: Thank you, Mr. Clarke and all the Hooky team for all the joy you bring to us.
We say, thank you, The Hall’s, for having our beer on your bar, giving it the love and dedication to ensure it’s served to perfection.
